To facilitate a better user experience, Sony hopes to use the major advancements that have been made with VR technology and adapt them to their upcoming system.
Sony states that they have also developed a new form of AR controller; focused on ergonomics whilst also incorporating key features adapted from their DualSense wireless controller.
Now this is all fine and dandy, but what does this mean for PS5 consumers? Well, everything is still in the developmental stages and the reinvented PlayStation AR headset is slated to be released, at its earliest, sometime next year. While this has its pros and cons, this does solidify that Sony is seemingly committed to improving on the PS5 experience for the foreseeable future. As far as the headset itself goes, we will just have to wait until Sony releases more information.
